I have a feeling this weekend will be a test of wills. I have to build a railing in the garage. I’m not too sure how steady Lion will be on his feet so I don’t know if he can help. I’m fairly certain he has his own ideas of how the railing should be built. I’m also fairly certain that I have differing ideas. Who will win?

If you ask female led relationship folks, the answer should be simple. As long as my idea will work, I should win. Lion has to abide by my decisions. What I say goes. However, building a railing is not normally in the domain of our female led relationship. Ours is limited to the bedroom as well as a few general rules. I have, on only one occasion, punished Lion for getting on my nerves. He made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. It would seem, if we have differing design ideas, that this would be another test for us.

It is quite possible that my idea won’t work. It’s also possible that Lion’s won’t work. We’ve both done work on houses. I helped my ex build a large addition onto our house when we were married. It’s still standing. It’s not perfect but it is structurally sound. I say this to prove that I’m not just some woman who insists she knows how things should be done with no experience. That said, I also don’t like to stick my neck out and do something wrong. What seems fairly straightforward to me may not actually be the right way to do it. If I defer to Lion we may wind up doing something far less simple.

This, as they say, is not rocket science. It’s a railing. A simple garage railing that doesn’t have to be pretty. It just needs to be able to steady someone going up and down the stairs. We don’t need fancy. We need a few dimensional boards sticking up, a few going across and a hand rail. Easy peasy.

I’m definitely getting better. It’s still difficult to walk painlessly, but I’m much better. My last few posts have been about chastity basics. When we started this blog, I realized that as Mrs. Lion and I grew in our male chastity practice, new readers might find what we discuss as being either too advanced, or worse, totally irrelevant to their lives.

Because I’m naturally curious, I’ve never stopped exploring enforced chastity devices. When I started looking for chastity hardware, I read everything I could find online. I learned where to order devices and got advice on how to measure for one.

We tried a number of devices. Most were cheap ones from China. None of them were very comfortable. Eventually, I ordered a Jail Bird from Mature Metal. This remains my favorite device. It wasn’t perfect when I ordered it.

My first Jail Bird was even worse than the Chinese device! It was way too long. I followed the measuring instructions, but still the head of my penis was far from the end of the device. When this kind of bad fit occurs, the head of my penis “wanders” and the urethra ends up straddling one of the bars. This makes peeing impossible without lots of spray.

Mrs. Lion and I finally decided to have Mature Metal adjust this cage. They do that at a reasonable cost. We shortened it from 1-3/4″ to only 1-1/4″ long.That made all the difference in the world.

My flaccid penis is longer than the 1-1/4″ length of the new Jail Bird. Depending on whether I am standing or sitting, it measures from 1-1/2″ to 2″. Nevertheless, the shorter cage is much more comfortable and effective than one the same length as my penis.

All this information is important. As I’ve written before, cage length really has no direct relationship with the length of the penis. In fact, the advantages of “too short” far outweigh wearing a longer cage.

We were among the first to discover this. My original page Getting A Good Fit, spent a lot of time discussing cage length. The updated version suggests the shortest possible cage. The shortest Jail Bird is 1-1/4″ long. Of course, the Jail Bird is over $400. It’s custom made. Delivery takes between one and two months.

Cage diameter is important. It shouldn’t be much more than 1/2″ inches narrower than your measured penis diameter. To measure, lay your soft penis across a ruler. That’s plenty accurate.

If you’re just starting out on your chastity adventure, I hope this information will help you avoid some bumps in the road.

Lion reports that his leg is less swollen and hurts less than yesterday. I’m glad. It was a nasty bruise and I knew it would take some time to feel better.

The pain slowed us down for a few days. Luckily Lion’s horniness won out and we were able to play again. He even got an orgasm out of the deal. I’m still not willing to make any long term plans but I will commit to more snuggling and playing. It’s been a few days so he should be horny again today, especially since his leg isn’t in as much pain.

Anything we do will be leg-friendly. No punishment swats. No standing in the corner. Just Lion on his back enjoying some much needed attention. He’ll be happy to hear that.

Understandably, Lion is reluctant to use the stairs in the garage. He’s been very unsteady on his feet but we also need to build a railing. I guess we’ll try to do that this weekend. I think I can do it mostly by myself so Lion doesn’t have to worry about smashing his leg into anything in the process. I just want Lion to feel safe on the stairs again.

Now that my leg is less painful, I expect to be locked up again. This time, at my request, it will be in my custom nylon chastity device (image, right). The device in the image is all white. The actual device I will be wearing isn’t all white. The white base ring disappeared for months. It resurfacedf recently with teeth marks in it. The dog ate my chastity!

Fortunately, I have a red base ring. It’s mostly while because this particular product comes with a rough finish that irritates the delicate genital skin. After a few hours of sanding, the rough finish is gone along with the red color. There is some red left on top of the ring since that doesn’t touch my skin and I didn’t want to sand needlessly. That rough finish is the result of 3D-printing.

It was this rough finish that caused me to review this product negatively. Otherwise, it is a very nice design that was scaled perfectly to my specs. Mrs. Lion agreed to lock me into this device so that we can see if it is safe and comfortable over weeks of wear. If it is, she can lock it with a plastic, numbered seal so it will pas airport security checks.

I like the way this device fits. The cage is very short. As a result, my penis doesn’t “wander” as it would in a longer cage. It also has a much smaller profile that makes it invisible under clothes, even tight pants.

Shorter is better. It turns out that once chastity device makers figure this out, buying an inexpensive, off-the-shelf device will be very easy. If length turns out to be a non-issue, then what is important. It turns out that the base ring diameter and the cage diameter are both critical. Everyone who has dabbled with a chastity device knows that the diameter of the base ring spells the difference between wearable and misery.

Getting the right size base ring isn’t rocket science. It needs to be small enough so that balls can’t escape and large enough to wear comfortably without the need for any lube. In my case it’s 1-3/4″ diameter. Cage diameter is just as important. Again, it’s not a critical measurement, but the cage diameter should be between 1/4″ and 1/2″ narrower than the diameter of your penis. Too narrow a cage can get uncomfortable. Too wide and the head isn’t held in position.

The Holy Trainer V3 Nano is the first high quality over-the-counter chastity device that qualifies as short enough. The other so-called short models are way too long to work the way they should. I’ll be reviewing the Nano in the next few weeks.

Meantime, I’ll be doing my first long term test of the custom 3D-printed cage.
