Cheat Day

A few weeks ago, we went for burgers at Five Guys. It was good, but it got us thinking about the onion rings at Fatburger. Yesterday, we went to Fatburger. I don’t know if it was the pandemic, more competition in the area, or what, but it was pretty empty. The onion rings weren’t as good as we remembered either. I wondered if it was a change in their recipe or if I had just built them up so much in my mind that they didn’t live up to it. Lion said they weren’t as good as they used to be. Okay. It wasn’t my mind playing tricks on me.

Since we ate lunch late, Lion asked if we could just have soup for dinner. It was non-Nutrisystem soup. We were bad. Of course, when I mow the lawn later, I’ll burn off some of those calories. I hope. I mean, I should. I think Lion said it’s about a quarter-acre yard. You’d think I’d lose some weight while chugging along through the uneven lawn, up and down the little hills.

We didn’t wind up doing anything last night. Lunch was late, so dinner was late. Then we just watched TV. Maybe today we’ll do something. I will say, however, I still have a lot to do around here, and there’s no guarantee I’ll have the energy for anything. We’ll snuggle, of course, but maybe nothing beyond that.

Am I resting up for the inevitable burst of activity coming up when Lion gets his boners on demand? I don’t think so. It’s just been a busy week or so since the weather started cooperating with outdoor chores. Once the lawn is mowed, the “only” thing left outside is weed whacking and trimming. I’m not looking forward to that either, but it has to get done.

We’ll find out more about the on-demand boners tomorrow. I doubt the first try will work completely, but I hope we’re on the right track.
