Working Our Way Back to Normal

I actually made it out of the house today. I dropped some things off at work and brought lunch home. It’s the first time I’ve been out since the Chinese food run between bouts of COVID. I don’t know when I was at work last. Entire buildings have popped up since then. The world marches on.

I pulled the massage table out of the box after work yesterday. It must be the same size as the one in the pantry. It’s a different color, which doesn’t matter at all. I brought it into the bedroom for no other reason than so Lion could see it. I wasn’t going to use it. I don’t think we’re ready for it yet. We’re still regaining strength from being sick. Lion might be thinking about sex, but his body isn’t listening. I played with him a bit last night and he didn’t respond. At all.

Sometimes he’ll get a little hard and that’s it. Not last night. It’s fine. I’m not trying to make him feel bad about it. I’m just surprised. I thought he’d be more excited than that. I knew we wouldn’t be off to the races, but I did think he’d want some warmup laps. It will come. I noticed, on the whiteboard, he’s up to 14 days. Well, 16 today. Of course, he hasn’t cared about sex for most of those days. Just when I think we’re ready to get things going, something happens to set us back. Damn COVID. It’s okay. We’ll get there. Before you know it, we’ll be back to teasing and edging.

Lion has been busy working on his next book. I think this one is better than the first. Better? I guess that’s in the eyes of the reader. It’s not Shakespeare. I have to be forced to read that. It’s not Hemingway. I like that too. It’s not the great American novel everyone thinks they want to write. But it is funny and something I would read if I was given a choice of books. I think that says a lot. But I may be just the slightest bit biased.

  1. Sometimes I don’t get hard, even when I am excited. Sometimes my wife plays with me and I don’t think I will get hard and do. A few times I did not get hard and she made me cum anyway.
